Do I need a referral?

No - in Australia physiotherapists are first contact practitioners so you do not need a referral from a doctor. We do however liaise with your treating team as required with your consent.

What do I bring to my Physiotherapy appointment? 

If it is an initial consultation please bring any relevant medical information or investigations. If you have been sent any information to be filled out prior please ensure this is completed prior to your appointment.

If this is an appointment for your vestibular condition please bring along a support person to drive you home as the appointment may stir up your symptoms for a short period of time. 

Please bring appropriate footwear and clothing to be able to move / lay down and participate comfortably in your appointment. 

I am so dizzy how can I see the physiotherapist? 

As poorly as you feel it is important to be seen during your episode of dizziness rather than waiting for it to resolve. However, if you have vomiting, uncontrolled nausea you may require medical attention prior to your appointment. If you are unsure please give us a call to discuss whether it is the right time to see us. Additionally, should you be at all concerned about worsening symptoms please seek urgent medical attention, or call 000 - do not wait for your appointment. 

Is Tweed Neuro Physio accessible? 

Tweed Neuro Physio operates out of Tweed Heads Holistic Healthcare at 40 Machinery Drive, Tweed Heads South, NSW, 2486. Parking is available onsite plus street parking. There is a small threshold door frame step to a flat access entry to the clinic room with 900mm doorways. There is a toilet on site.
